A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING DEDICATION AND DISTINGUISHED SERVICE.
WHEREAS, Betty Maloney has served with distinction and dedication
as Executive Secretary of the MISSION CHAMBER OF COMMERCE since 1975; and
WHEREAS, for close to five years she has devoted untold hours
toward providing an improved atmosphere for the conduct of business and
commerce in the City of Mission; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Maloney has served as a special liaison between the
MISSION CHAMBER OF COMMERCE and the City, spending many more hours and
considerable effort, to unite those bodies in a common cause and direction;
and
WHEREAS, Betty Maloney has given so much of her personal life to
the City of Mission in such projects as improved street lighting on Johnson
Drive, city wide beautification, business and commercial promotion, holiday
decorations and the Mission Art Fair.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY
OF MISSION, KANSAS:
That on the occasion of her retirement from the Chamber of Commerce,
Betty Maloney is hereby given special recognition and commendation for her
services and devotion to the City of Mission.

CITY OF MISSION, KANSAS
That it is the unanimous opinion of the Mayor and City Council
that because of her efforts, the City of Mission is a better place to live
and work.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the Governing Body of the City of Mission,
Kansas this 12th day of September, 1979.
