A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE PURCHASE OF REAL PROPERTY
LOCATED AT 5601 -5613 JOHNSON DRIVE, MISSION, JOHNSON COUNTY,
KANSAS.
WHEREAS, the City of Mission needs to acquire real property located at 5601 -5613
Johnson Drive, Mission, Johnson County, Kansas (the "Real Property for storm drainage
improvements and redevelopment, and
WHEREAS, the City of Mission has entered into a Real Estate Contract dated March 9,
2006 with Blake Investment Enterprises, LLC, a Kansas limited liability company (hereinafter
referred as the "Seller the owner of the Real Property, to purchase the Real Property for the
total sum of $1,160,000.00 plus closing costs including, but not limited to title policy premiums,
title company fees and inspection expenses (the "Real Estate Contract and
WHEREAS, the Real Estate Contract is subject to the approval by the City of Mission
City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council approves the purchase of the Real Property from the Seller
as provided in said Real Estate Contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE
CITY OF MISSION, KANSAS:
Section 1. The City of Mission shall purchase the Real Property from the Seller at the
purchase price of $1,160,000.00 plus closing costs including, but not limited to title policy
premiums, title company fees and inspection expenses, pursuant to the Real Estate Contract.
Section 2. The City Administrator for the City of Mission is hereby authorized to take any
and all action necessary to complete and close on the purchase of the Real Property pursuant to
the Real Estate Contract.
THIS RESOLUTION IS PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE GOVERNING
BODY OF THE CITY OF MISSION, this 12 day of April 2006.
