CITY OF MISSION KANSAS

AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING CERTAIN PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF
MISSION KANSAS TO BE USED FOR OR OCCUPIED BY A SPECIAL USE.
WHEREAS, an application for a Special Use Permit has
heretofore been made to occupy or use property located at
Alternative Education, 5900 Lamar, to be used for the following
use or uses: Day Care Center; and
WHEREAS, said property is currently zoned District C -2
wherein such uses are not permitted; and
WHEREAS, notice of said application was duly given as
required by law by publication and mailing; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held pursuant to law before
the City Planning Commission of the City of Mission, and the
recommendation of said Planning Commission was acted upon by the
r" Governing Body of the City of Mission as required by law;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE
CITY OF MISSION KANSAS:
Section 1. That the said property described as follows:
8 -12 -25 PT SW a BG CTR SEC W 462' S 190' W 200' S 100' SELY 430'
M/L TO A PT 456.75' S 262' W PT OF BG E 262' N 456.75' EX E 30'
EX PT FOR ST 4.789 AC M/L
may be occupied or used for the above described special use or
uses subject to these conditions and requirements:
None
Section 2. That this Special Use Permit shall terminate on
August 8, 1995, but may be renewed in accordance with Chapter
18.60 of the Mission Zoning Ordinance.
Section 3. That the occupancy or use allowed by this
Special Use Permit is limited to the Shawnee Mission School
District.

Section 4. That the approval of this Special Use Permit
shall not c the zoning currently assigned to the property by
t Off ic i al Zo n i ng M ap.
Section 5. This Ordinance shall take effect and be enforced
from and after its adoption and publication according to law.
Passed by the City Council this 8th day of August, 1990.
